The Sandon Sessions

During a hot and dry summer week in December 2019, with threatening bush fires close by, the elusive experimental duo MaYoNoise met for a week of extensive improvisations in the hinterlands of Victoria, Australia.

Seamlessly traveling the boundary of experimental electronica, noise, and free jazz, the duo produced over nine hours of improvised recordings and some shorter field recordings, all to be used in future studio sessions.

Alas, a month later the pandemic toke hold of the world, leaving one member in Australia and the other in the US, rendering any further musical rendezvous impossible.

Two years on, MaYoNoise are still a world apart, but a selection of the recordings have been painstakingly edited into a first volume for your listening pleasure. A second volume is expected to follow in the not too far future.
